Thanks to all the CERTs that signed up for the graduation parade event. Approximately 600 vehicles converged on Island Park in East Belmont for a car parade up to Carlmont High School. CERTs and most of the Belmont PD were on hand for traffic control duties as we marshaled cars onto neighborhood streets and dirt lots, while sorting out non-parade traffic coming and going. This once-in-a-lifetime event went off without incident, with everyone getting a good workout on their arms when the parade started and we tried to get everyone out onto Ralston in one very long stream of traffic. And pandemic precautions were followed (for the most part).
